Michael Day is the owner of Mike Day Accountancy, and has gained a wealth of experience over the last 35 years in Manufacturing, leisure and service industries.
His accounting career began in 1979 as a trainee accountant in a manufacturing environment. He moved in 1982 to the leisure industry as an assistant accountant. Between 1984-1988 he worked for a Hotel Group as company accountant.
The last 26 years he has worked for Sysco Guest Supply which is US owned and part of Sysco Corporation Inc. He initially joined as finance manager being promoted to Finance Director in 2006.
In October 2014 he decided to change direction and start his own practice and he enjoys working closely with people and being hands on to offer assistance and guidance. He can offer a bit more than a routine accountant who just produces monthly/quarterly and statutory accounts.
His affiliations are being an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants having qualified in 1993 and also being a member of the Institute of Credit Management.
